In 2009, Famous Alpine Seaweed Company (FASCO) started its humble venture into seaweed business by running the seaweed farming on an area of 50 hectares allocated by Department of Fishery Sabah.

 

FASCO  has built all the infrastructures needed including the Seaweed House and Drying platform with all the facilities including numbers of boats and all the farming machineries.

 

This 100% privately hefty funded operation has until today sheath some lights to many of the local Tawau residents who has been employed as the Seaweed Farming General workers.

Seaweed aka Sea vegetables are among the World's healthiest food because of their incredibly rich mineral contents and other unique benefits.
